How to download the Hobo app?

How to pay?

Please add a valid debit or credit card to your account. Through your card you can add money to your wallet and use your wallet funds to pay for every ride.

Do I need any special license to ride a Hobo scooter?

Nope, just enjoy the ride.

How to find the nearest Hobo scooter?

Open the app and you will see a map which shows you the scooters which are closest to you. If you don’t see any available scooters zoom out.

How to unlock?

After you find an available scooter, scan the QR code to unlock it. If it is too dark, you can enter the 11-digit code next to the QR code.

How to start?

You will see a light and hear a sound upon scooter activation. To start your ride, place one foot on the scooter board and kick off once with the other. Push down gently the throttle on the right handle to accelerate while keeping both feet on the board. To slowdown or stop, use the brake on the left handle. Keep your balance and watch your speed.

Where to park the Hobo scooter?

Always be mindful of others when parking your Hobo scooter. Parking is allowed in designated spots only. Observe this simple rule if you want to be able to complete your journey.

How to end my ride?

Simply press the "End ride" button in the app.

What happens if I don’t end my ride?

You must lock your scooter to complete your ride. If you do not lock your scooter, charges will continue to accumulate. The maximum daily charge for an uncompleted ride is 100 BGN.

How do Hobo scooters get charged?

Our team makes sure that scooters are charged and in the best rental condition.

What is the maximum ride range of the Hobo scooter?

With full battery you can ride for up to 50 km.

Are there any specific rules I need to observe?

The speed limit in Sofia is 25 km/h. Use the bike lanes where they are available or stay in the right side of the road. Please don’t ride on sidewalks and pedestrian areas.

What shall I do if the scooters breaks?

Please report immediately any issue related to your Hobo scooter including malfunction, damage or a missing scooter. Use the app or let us know via email at support@hobo.bg.

What shall I do if I am involved in an accident?

If you are a party to a traffic collision resulting in injury or property damage, or in case of a theft related incident, you should first report the case to the local police and then inform us at support@hobo.bg.
